Standard Background Projection:

Sector of 180° from three 300W conventional 24x36 mm computer controlled slide projectors each covering a 60° segment of a photographic panorama, capable of illuminating a background area of 50-100 m².
Standard Target Projection:
Video animated (live) moving targets projected over the entire background area (+/- 90° horizontal, -5/+45° vert.). Convenient projection and shooting distance is 4-6 m.
Visual effects and audio:
Visual presentation of realistic single target movements with animated effects of hit, wound or miss shown on the  background. Quadraphonic sound effects of the target, firing and environment.
Room requirements:
Width 8-12 m, Depth 6-8 m with ceiling heights 3 - 3.5 m (Floor area approximately 70-100 m²). Additional public lounge and study room facilities of at least the same size is required.
Shooting Scenario:
Clay pigeon exercises including any single target Trap, Skeet or Sporting exercise with capability of deploying individual clay traps at different locations in any one of 80 different photographic back-grounds (local scenarios and known locations possible). Bird hunting scenario on selected live animated targets. Rifle shooting and deer hunting scenario under development.
Training Scenario:
Single stand practising (one at a time), individual and/or group training or competition. Programmable automatic visual background and target changes corresponding to scenario requirements. Individual or group compiling of performance data for the monitor display and hard-copy documentation.
Weapon:
Any personal 12, 16 or 20 gauge shotgun. Small calibre shotgun and standard rifle capability under development.
Ammunition:
Special IR-laser cartridge for conventional gun chamber loading. Invisible light carrier modulated signal for definition of firing. Continuous light emission for registration of aiming and weapon movement from time of closing gun or operating bolt lever. Chiose of long life lithium (20000 shots) or rechargeable battery cartridge (1000 shots) between charging.
Console Man-Machine-Interface:
  • PC monitor for alpha-numeric and graphical set-up and instant shooting result feed-back.
  • Keyboard, hard disk, 3.5" diskette or LAN for  loading or export of console data.
  • Hard disk or 3.5" diskette storage of result data and individual set-up information.
  • External PC on-line analysing of results and in-depth studies of individual performance.
  • Printer for paper hard-copies of shooting results and analysis.
  • Voice controlled or manual target pull mechanism.
Concole Monitor Display features:
Set-up: Predominantly menu driven with extensive graphical tools for defining scenario trajectory limits, orientation and location of clay traps and target movement sectors in relation to the background.
Results: Combined alpha-numeric and graphic display of shooting situation with extensive read-out of relevant set-up and performance parameters.
Calculations and Graphical Presentation features:
  • Continuous gun alignment tracking up to, through and beyond point of firing.
  • Target position at time of firing.
  • Actual target position at time of charge delivery.
  • Measuring circle in the target plane at time of charge passage.
  • Concentric Hit Probability Circles for 50 and 95%.
  • Graphical Scales in X and Y planes to show angular relationship between aiming, actual target position and visual reference position (target at time of firing).
  • Gun movement effect on charge direction.
  • Actual shot result (hit/wound/miss) in overall sequence.
Calculations and Alpha-numerical Presentation features:
  • Name of shooter, group and series number.
  • Target distance at time of charge delivery.
  • Time from pull to shot in milliseconds.
  • Pattern Off Centre related to target in cm.
  • Hit/wound/miss probability percentage.
  • Statistical number of strikes within target.
  • Target azimuth trajectory (with pre-set limits).
  • Target elevation trajectory (with pre-set limits).
  • Target speed, trajectory speed factor if changed for tutorial purposes, and target speed at time of firing.
  • Type of ammunition used (metal, spread factor, charge weight, pellet size and velocity).
  • Type of gun used (gauge, barrel length, bore/choke).
 Result Analysing features:
  • Accumulation and averaging of Hit/Cripple/Miss performance parameters.
  • Shot-by-shot Bore Analysis with display of Optimum Choke.

  • Angular Aiming Error total averaged and separate for left, flying away and right moving targets.
External post training analysis on-line:  Based on raw data hard disk storage of each shot replay may be performed on an external PC to:
    • Display the overall shot scenery and view the entire animated sequence with target movement, ideal aiming point and gun mounting and aiming technique.
    • Closely study the frozen shot situation monitor display as shown on the console monitor.
    • Zoom in on the target and view the actual pattern for each individual shot.
    • Analyse the effects of timing (trigger +/- time vs. actual time of firing).
    • Change any relevant gun or ammunition parameter and look at the change in performance relative to the actual shot pattern.

    • Make graphical or alpha-numerical print-outs of interesting aspects of stored or analysed results.
