Title: «Rythm found in the simulator»

Truls Jørgensen from Kragerø is a keen bird hunter. An ordinary and able shotgun shooter who wanted to find out more about possible faults.

«Learning for life»
The article focuses on how the ShotPro 2000 simulator unveils technical errors in judgement, approach and timing, and how it leads you to beliving by seeing. The  efficiencey of proper target path tracking from sufficiently behind is convincingly demonstrated. Performance stability for correct, intuitive trigger timing is only possible for those who produce persuasive and controlled through-swing speed.
«Even the most experienced shooter will discover otherwise hidden faults, something you just have to accept when documented to you by ShotPro 2000»,
according to ace instructor Arnold Sundt.

Approach and behaviour is fundamental to productive bird hunting. Objective measuring and documentation of essential swing parameters is only possible in a simulator system of this kind, where the gathering of gun movement data relative to the target is collected and displayed unambigously.

Title: «Hunting in cyberspace»

An article written by a sceptical author, describing his initially prejudiced attitude towards the idea of an indoor virtual reality device pertaining to seriously substitute the complex environment of live hunting.
Admittedly the author retrived his sceptisism after being exposed to the challenges of ShotPro 2000, summarising his experience as follows:

«We are faced with and extremely exciting novel development which opens new perspectives for the education of hunters and sport shooters, provided wide spread access to simulators, and that program software continue to be developed».

Title: «START GROUSE HUNTING ON THE SOUTH COAST»

An appraising article refering to the ShotPro 2000 simulator as «the wonder» with a detailed description of the practical implication of being rewarded the amount of insight on shooting performance including movement, method, ballistics, shot cloud and strikes.

«Inspiring for at least two good reasons: Firstly because it’s great fun, and secondly because a disappointing miss means productive learning».
The article also makes reference to local experience from the Grimstad area on the increased level of activity and enthusiasm among hunters and young people in particular.

Title: «GROUSE HUNTING IN GRIMSTAD»

The author, an honourable expert in both rifle and shotgun disiplines states that this «Learning Machine» is better than he in his most positive moments could ever have imagined! Not only beginners, but as much the experienced hunter and sport shooter will benefit from the amazing amount of well presented graphical feed-back, most notably the continous gun movement trace in relation to a moving target.

«Most of this information is valuable in its own right, but I belive that the majority of those who come to experience the simulator will in consequence acquire a natural desire for more training, and hence the simulator will in fact become a stimulator».
The author made a number of specific tests on various shooting techniques and concludes that this simulator is in fact capable of unveiling precisely why one method of shooting is advantagous compared to another, summarizing his experience will the following admittance:
«To all those who may think that my unrestricted appraisal for this Tamagotchi-like hunting device is non deserved, I wish to admit that I came loaded with sceptisism, convinced that in-door computer shooting would be a threat to conventional practising, and no more than another surperfluous modern jippo. I reserve the right to change my mind, because I know a good thing when I see one».

Title: «Where the value of a miss equals a hit»

The article describes how the ShotPro 2000 simulator deals with the «lottery of shotgun shooting», and how it visualises the invisible variables which make up the total quality of a shot result.

«Excellent and realistic training. Forget overwhelming technology and concentrate on the clear, easy to understand pictorial feed-back on the shooting result. Accept the inescapable consequences of why, not only where the charge was delivered».
Because learning is a function of understanding, the concept of ShotPro 2000 is based on full time user involvement, and not limited to individual time spent on the stand. Through-the-barrel CCTV viewing offers «learning through others» by  observing in detail the performance of other contenders. Bad or good makes no difference, as they are equally important to understand. Watching, evaluating, re-playing and studying takes up all of your time in the simulator, leaving no room for boring and unproductive vaste.
